Mission

As F&B Manager you are responsible for the day-to-day management of the entire F&B department (restaurant, bar, room service and banqueting). You take the lead over a team of around 25 people, during busy days you can call in interim employees. An operational F&B Assistant functions as your right hand. You also manage the kitchen in consultation with the kitchen chef.
You are responsible for monitoring the budgets and you devise the necessary actions to achieve the objectives.
Further responsibilities:

  • personnel management (orders for recruitment, drawing up work planning and checking work, thorough team coaching, ...)
  • a guaranteed perfect execution of all F&B activities
  • in a periodic F&B meeting of possible work points on maps, work distribution and anticipation of problem situations
  • F&B forecasting, budget management and cost control
  • development and adjustment of procedures - supervision of implementation in the workplace
  • as HOD you are in close contact with the General Manager and report to him directly
  • optimization of the F&B turnover (restaurant, banquet rooms, bar, room service) thanks to commercial insight and therefore organization of the department

In this job there is a good balance between operational and administrative work (around 50/50)

Profil

  • experience as F&B manager within the hotel industry is a must
  • excellent knowledge of English and French or Dutch
  • administrative knowledge - knowledge of MS Office and hotel systems
  • organized, communicative, professional appearance, stress resistant and multi tasker
  • maturity and sense of responsibility, able to autonomously lead the large department
  • flexible working hours depending on the activities in the hotel

Offre

For a hands-on people manager and a proven successful department head with extensive product knowledge, the general manager has been obtained to provide a good salary. The gross salary is supplemented with hospitalization insurance. Moreover, thanks to achieving good results, one can earn a bonus. The F&B Manager also receives the available work resources.
