This hotel group has a strong brand and a central location in East Flanders. Due to the various options available at the hotels, there is always a way to respond to the customer's wishes. In addition to a large capacity of hotel rooms, there are also many banqueting options. The audience thus consists of an ideal mix of corporate, MICE, and leisure guests. The group is currently in development and another hotel opening is planned. This presents an exciting challenge for you as a sales manager to help establish this hotel on the map.
Duties
As a Sales Manager, you are the point of contact for clients and the face of the hotels. You generate revenue by selling the hotels in the local, national, and international markets. The goal is to increase market share and generate new business within various market segments.
Here is a selection of your responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving and executing the established strategies and commercial plan
- Prospecting, networking, and maintaining contacts with new and existing clients, mostly within the corporate market
- Regularly visiting clients, corporate events, networking gatherings, trade shows, etc.
- Preparing account development plans to ensure maximum share and profitability for each account
- Organizing client events in collaboration with the GM's and your colleagues in the sales team
- Keeping the CRM system (Salesforce) up to date
- Regular reporting to senior management
- Assisting and providing input for annual budgeting
Profile
For this position, we are looking for a candidate with a strong commercial mindset. Experience in the hospitality industry is not a must, but an interest in exploring this field is certainly desirable. You further possess strong interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively and maintain relationships at all levels.
You are a motivated, enthusiastic team player who enjoys interacting with people.
Furthermore, the following aspects are important:
- You have at least a few years of experience in a sales role within the hospitality industry or a similar environment.
- Knowledge of the Ghent market is a great advantage, but not a must.
- You are organized, focused, and able to set priorities and achieve results.
- Proactive and open-minded to new ideas.
- Fluent in Dutch and/or English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
