Mission
In this position, your focus will be on management and organization within a large department. This department oversees the activities of the last link in the catering process. This requires a sharp eye for detail, control, adaptability, and communication to be key. You will be part of the Management Team and report directly to the Managing Director. A high degree of independence is expected, as well as good internal communication.
Your responsibilities include:
- Managing a fixed team of 25 people (including team leaders) and a flexible pool of staff
- Developing an optimal work and manpower planning in collaboration with the planner
- Directing and following up on daily work organization
- Conducting quality, timing, and procedures checks
- Evaluating and continuously improving processes, standards, and KPI's
- Facilitating audits
- Inventory management, monitoring HACCP and maintenance control
- Monitoring budgets, costs, and efficiency
Profil
For this position, we are looking for a true people manager with a healthy dose of assertiveness and coaching skills. Flexibility, a solution-oriented mindset, and the necessary stress resistance are a must in this role due to the volume and tight organization.
You are:
- In possession of a Bachelor’s degree, e.g., in hospitality or supply chain management (or equivalent through experience)
- Very experienced in managing a large team, preferably in a large-scale production environment
- Someone with strong communication skills who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Structured, yet also able to adapt quickly
- Someone with a good understanding of work processes within a large-scale, complex structure
- Fluent in French, and additionally you also speak English (and possibly Dutch)
- Administratively and financially skilled, but also regularly found on the work floor
