Restaurants & Bar General Manager


The two restaurants are located in a luxurious hotel in the center of Brussels. This hotel went recently through a complete renovation with a big upgrade of all rooms and public spaces. Along with this renovation comes the launch of two new restaurants, each with an outspoken and international concept. The first restaurant is a gastronomic bistro concept, developed by a famous chef. The other restaurant is more accessible with Asian influences.


In this position you are going to open and launch the two restaurants in the hotel and on the Brussels Market. You will train and coach the team in line with the company standards. Your focus is the daily operations of the different outlets and you will be on the floor frequently to be in contact with the guest and the team members. Overall you will be in charge of a team of around 10 people divided over the different outlets: the 2 restaurants and the central bar.
Besides the operational part you will take care of some administration, such as: schedules, reservations, orders, contact with suppliers, financial control, etc. You will take care of all communication with guests, team members, higher management and the consulting partner.


For this position we are looking for a manager with a strong background in successful restaurant brands. You are passionate about Food & Beverage and have a strong feeling with Brussels, the local restaurant industry, clientele and suppliers in and around the city.
Your personality and competences are defined in the following points:

  • enthusiastic, energetic, driven and result-oriented;
  • 4+ years of experience in a management position within the restaurant business;
  • people manager with a mature and humble personality;
  • knowledge of finances: P&L, budgets, etc.;
  • entrepreneurial skills and mentality;
  • flexible and ability to adapt in stressful situations;
  • strong communication skills on operational and business level;
  • languages: French, English and preferable some knowledge of Spanish
